Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: June 2, 2025
The short version
Some links on ByteAdvise are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, I may earn a small commission - at absolutely no extra cost to you. I only link to products and services I have personally used or carefully evaluated.
What is an affiliate link?
An affiliate link is a tracked URL that tells a company you arrived from ByteAdvise. If you go on to make a purchase, the company pays me a small referral fee. The price you pay is identical to what you'd pay going directly - sometimes you even get a discount through my link.
My editorial promise
Affiliate relationships never influence what I write. My reviews and recommendations are based entirely on my own experience as a software engineer with 10+ years in the industry. If a product has a flaw, I'll say so. If something isn't worth your money, I won't link to it.
I will never recommend a product solely because it pays a higher commission, and I will never write a positive review in exchange for free access or payment.
FTC compliance
In accordance with the FTC's Endorsement Guides, I clearly disclose any material connection between myself and the products mentioned on this site. Posts that contain affiliate links are written in good faith and reflect my genuine opinion.
Which programs do I participate in?
I participate in a number of affiliate programs including, but not limited to, those run by software companies, cloud providers, developer tools, and SaaS products that are relevant to the topics covered on ByteAdvise. Specific program affiliations may be noted within individual posts where relevant.
Sponsored content
ByteAdvise does not currently publish sponsored posts or accept payment for editorial coverage. If that ever changes, sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such at the top of the post.
Questions?
If you have any questions about this disclosure or want to know whether a specific recommendation is affiliate-linked, feel free to reach out at arthacode.web@gmail.com. I'm happy to be transparent.
